C. 3rd-4th century AD

A Roman solid gold finger ring with wide shoulders and a tapering band. It has a raised rectangular bezel set with garnet? and carved with an animal.

The band is slightly misshapen otherwise intact and an excellent example with good detail.

Provenance; Ex European Collection, formed in the 1990’s.
