Decorated Bactrian Terracotta Bowl
C. 1st Millennium BC
A fine example of a shallow Bactrian terracotta bowl, with a decorated exterior of raised pellets and a geometric pattern.
The Greco-Bactrian Kingdom was, along with the Indo-Greek Kingdom, the easternmost part of the Hellenistic world, covering Bactria and Sogdiana in Central Asia from 256 to 125 BC.
Although repaired with some chips to rim, it has excellent detail.
