Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp Depicting Cupid

C. 1st-2nd century AD

A beautiful Roman oil lamp depicting cupid to central discus within an incised linear border. It has a voluted nozzle and a rounded, grooved handle which is unusual.

Small chip to base rim with some light earthy surface deposits otherwise intact with fine detail.
