Romano-Egyptian Terracotta Figure of Harpocrates

Item Description

C. 1st-2nd century AD

A fine hollow-moulded red terracotta statuette of Harpocrates squatting, with a lotus flower to his head. He is touching his chin with his index finger, while holding an overflowing cornucopia in his left hand.  It has been mounted on a custom made stand with description plaque.

Small chip to base edge otherwise a fine piece with excellent detail.
