Item Description
C. 1570-1070 BC – New Kingdom Period
An Egyptian scarab decorated with the goddess Hathor to reverse. She is depicted as a woman with the head, or ears of a cow, wearing an elaborate headdress, with uraei flanking her profile. Hathor, the goddess of the joy, feminine love, music, and motherhood. The amulet is pierced longitudinally for suspension.
Fine carvings and a nice example.
